1st Greek – Turkish Joint Neurosurgical Meeting
Welcome Address
Dear colleagues
It is with great pleasure to invite you all to the 1st Greek – Turkish Joint Neurosurgical Meeting to be held in Izmir, Turkey, 22-23 March 2025.
The Neurosurgical community of our countries has a long tradition of friendship and common pace since the first days of the specialty. As the number of Neurosurgeons is increasing, the responsibility to continue and develop new links, strengthen collaboration and improve networking is in our hands. The list of common values and visions we share is as long as our common problems seeking solutions and there is no better way to tackle them than exchanging scientific knowledge, educating young colleagues and building collaboration.
The first meeting will be hosted in Izmir, a vibrant city with long history, in the premises of the Ege University Medical Faculty Hospital. The educational program is focused on the anterior cranial fossa and is structured in a way to mix experience, youth enthusiasm and updated knowledge. A special session is dedicated to the current challenges of neurosurgical training. An equally important part of the conference is non neurosurgical and includes a taste of local history, cultural visit and gatherings in friendly ambience.
Looking forward relaunching our friendship and create a long sequence of meetings.
